PEOPLE have been invited to take advantage of a gathering in Keighley next week designed to show off the wonders of the night sky.

Bradford and Keighley Astronomical Societies are holding a public observing session called Stargazing Live in the grounds of East Riddlesden Hall.

The event will take place at the Airedale Barn next Wednesday from 7pm to 11.30pm.

A spokesman for the organisers said: “People can come along and see if they spot something new.

“This is a free event and the bar will be open from 7pm to 11pm.

“Telescopes and observing gear will be available, so participants shouldn’t worry if they do not have these.

“They should wear suitable warm and weatherproof clothing.”
