ELECTIONS are under way to Airedale General Hospital’s board of governors.
Six public seats are up for grabs and anyone interested in having a say in the running of the Steeton hospital is invited to stand.
Candidates must be aged 16 or over, be a member of the NHS Foundation Trust and live in the area they want to represent.
Seats available include those in Craven (Steeton, Silsden and Addingham), Keighley Central (Utley, Knowle Park and Cliffe Castle), Keighley East (Riddlesden and East and West Morton), and South Craven (Lothersdale, Cowling, Glusburn and Sutton).
Michael Luger, chairman of Airedale Trust, said: “A governor’s role is to ensure the non-executive directors account for the performance of the board by asking the right questions and considering reports on how the trust is working.”
