BRADFORD City’s FA Cup match against Reading might have been a draw, but there was one winner from the Valley Parade event.
Bradford Cinderella Club ended up £1,537 better off following a charity bucket collection among the crowd.
The club, which provides help for disadvantaged youngsters, has thanked directors and staff at the club for allowing the collection to go ahead.
Cash was collected by 23 charity volunteers who went through the crowds with their buckets.
The club were surprised to find that from the total, less than £11 had been given in coppers.
Among the items in the buckets was what the Cinderella Club describe as a “keepsake” which they are now trying to re-unite with its owner, who should contact the club.
