A BODY which aims to ensure decisions about the local rail network are taken in the north of England rather than London has a new home.
Rail North, which represents 29 transport authorities in the north of England, is to get administrative and back-office support from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority. Rail North played a key role in shaping the new Northern and TransPennine Express rail franchises, due for renewal in April 2016.
