BINGLEY Music Live has joined forces with The Musician Centre in Keighley to start a competition to find the region’s best artists and bands for this year’s event.
The winning artists will play on the main stage and on the second stage.
Organisers want outstanding unsigned and under-the-radar acts to open the festival in Bingley’s Myrtle Park from September 4-6.
Applications will be whittled down to four heats of six, with heat winners going through to the final. Entries close on Friday, April 10.
Coun Andrew Thornton, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Environment and Sport, said: “It’s an excellent opportunity for unsigned bands and artists.”
The Musician Centre’s Michael Watmough said: “We are delighted to be partnering up with Bingley Music Live again for a second year after a successful competition last year.”
