AN 11-YEAR-OLD Bradford boy, who was diagnosed with leukaemia two months ago, has been given the “fabulous” news that his cancer is in remission.
It follows a month of intensive chemotherapy treatment at Leeds General Infirmary for Callum Edwards.
His family, of Miles Hill Crescent, Bierley, now hope for similarly good news in a fortnight when younger brother Shane, nine, will get the results of repeat scan after the return of a brain tumour last year.

The young pair have been both undergoing chemotherapy at the same time – Callum in hospital, and Shane with tablets at home.
Shane baffled doctors in October when, after chemotherapy, his last scan showed he no longer had a tumour on his brain – only three months after the family had been told there was no hope.
Mum Tracy Edwards, 33, said of Callum’s results: “The results are fab. There are no leukaemia cells left. I can’t stop smiling.”
