ANIMAL-loving comedians and television stars have called on Bradfordians to back a charity campaign aimed at helping more poorly pets.

Veterinary charity PDSA, which has a branch in East Bowling, has seen a nationwide decline in stock, and the celebrities are offering their support to rally people to donate to the charity.

Ex Towie star Lauren Goodger, comedian Russell Kane and TV presenter Anthea Turner have done their bit by donating their clothes and now want Bradfordians people to support their local PDSA shops.

Former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Lauren, said: “PDSA is an amazing charity and saves animals’ lives every day. But they need all of you to keep the local shop’s shelves full by donating all those clothes, bags and shoes you no longer wear. So why not have a spring clear-out and help poorly pets?”

Donations at the charity’s high street shops have dropped by 13 per cent in the last four years. This is leaving them short of the goods to sell, which means less money to fund its Pet Hospitals.
