THE University of Bradford will be a polling station in the general election and will host pre-election events.
One polling station for the Bradford West constituency will be on the university campus and the uni will host public lectures, a mini conference for schools and colleges, and a hustings, organised by the University of Bradford’s Student Union, involving the constituency’s parliamentary candidates.
Six lectures will examine issues such as the impact of austerity on Bradford, British Muslim politics, whether the UK should be giving foreign aid and whether the UK should remain in the EU.
Prof Paul Rogers will chair the hustings debate on Thursday, April 16. This event is organised by the students’ union and is open only to students and staff.
