BRADFORD'S finest new comic talent was on show at Forster's Bistro in City Park as stand-up Jared Shooter triumphed in the grand-final of the Comedy Hat awards.
He won £300 and the coveted trophy, which was presented by Bradford funnyman and panto star Billy Pearce.
Tom King secured second place, with 'AFC Baggy' finishing in third.
Monthly heats for the competition had taken place in front of packed crowds since last September, with audiences scoring the acts on their stand-up routines.
Vicky Meer, who founded Comedy Hat with her partner and fellow comedian Mike Clifton, said the competition would run again later this year.
