Police have investigated 17 reports of 'cyber bullying' in Bradford in the space of 12 months and made five arrests as a result, the West Yorkshire force has revealed.
The period covers the year leading up to November 2014 and the investigations cover online abuse and bullying on social media, including trolling and threatening behaviour.
Police say the arrests recorded were made under the Malicious Communications Act 1988 but that those involved in offending may be dealt with in other ways than being arrested, such as being issued with a caution.
