POLICE are investigating a vandalism spree at Shipley railway station today in which windows were smashed and damage caused to more than 20 parked cars.
One badly damaged waiting area remained cordoned off by police this morning and a number of cars remained in the car parks with smashed windows.
British Transport Police officers are investigating the attack which took place at about 7am and is thought to have involved a five-strong gang of teenagers.
A BTP spokesman said police were called to the station at 7.30am and two teenagers, aged 14 and 17, who were arrested nearby remained in custody.
"Inquiries are ongoing to determine the full extent of the damage and any possible motive," he said.
Anyone with information should call British Transport Police on 0800 405040 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting log 92 of March 8, 2015.
