BANTAMS legends are backing their club to grab FA Cup glory tomorrow.
The Bantams face Reading in the quarter-final of the FA Cup at Valley Parade, with a semi-final trip to Wembley at stake.
Now, former City stars have given their support to Phil Parkinson's underdogs.
Striker Bruce Bannister, who scored 60 goals in 208 games for the Bantams between 1965 to 1971, will be going to the game and said the whole country has been gripped by the club's FA Cup run.
He founded SportsShoes.com, the leading specialist running and fitness retailer in the UK which is based in Shipley in 1982, and is now the chairman of the firm.
Mr Bannister said: "The city has been buzzing since the Chelsea game.
"The City supporters have been fantastic and a credit to Bradford. The whole country has been watching the club's cup run.
"I was there at the Chelsea game and it was fantastic.
"There are a lot of positives about the club. There is a lot of loyalty among the supporters.
"I'm looking forward to going to the game. I won't make a prediction of the score though."
Striker John Hendrie, who scored 46 goals in 176 appearances for City between 1984 and 1988, thinks Bradford will sneak the victory after a tricky game.
The Telegraph & Argus columnist, who lives in Menston, said: "When the draw was made, it was a very good one for City.
"But this game against Reading is going to be a tough proposition for City.
"I do fancy them, though. I think it will be 1-0 to Bradford. James Hanson might get the goal.
"I will be going to the game as a fan.
"I'm looking forward to the atmosphere at Valley Parade. These are exciting times for the club.
"Reading are a tough nut to crack.
"After the wins in the last few rounds, there is more pressure on City against Reading."
Barry Gallagher, who lined up for City between 1977 and 1983, is now the licensee of the Dog & Gun pub, St Enoch's Road, Wibsey, where he will watch the match on TV alongside his regulars.
The former midfielder said: "I think it's absolutely fantastic where they have got to in both the league and the cup this year.
"They have three chances to get to Wembley now.
"I don't think they are frightened of anybody now. I just can't see them getting beaten tomorrow.
"We have had the radio on in the pub for the FA Cup games in the previous rounds this year.
"The atmosphere has been electric in the pub for those. People have been jumping up and down."
