A SENIOR Morrisons employee will go on trial in the summer after he denied abusing his position to fraudulently disclose personal employee data at the supermarket firm.

Andrew Skelton, a senior internal auditor, appeared at Bradford Crown Court for a ten minute hearing today and entered not guilty pleas to three charges.

Skelton, who sat in the dock wearing a dark suit, pink shirt, purple tie and navy blue overcoat, was told he will go on trial at the same court on July 13. He spoke only to confirm his name and that he understood what had been discussed in court.

The Recorder of Bradford, Judge Roger Thomas QC, was told the trial is expected to last five days.

Skelton, 43, of Water Street, Liverpool, was charged with the offences after an investigation at the Morrisons head office in Bradford.

He is accused of one count of fraud relating to abusing his position by disclosing personal data.

The other charges relate to securing unauthorised access to computer data and disclosing personal data about Morrisons' employees.

All the offences are alleged to have taken place between November 2013 and March 20 last year.

Skelton was released on bail until his trial date.
