POLICE stopped a car they say was unsafe for the road (pictured) just as the driver was about to start a journey from Bradford to Birmingham.
In addition to having problems with the bodywork, tyres and exhaust, the car had no insurance and was seized by officers who stopped to check it in Great Horton last Friday.
A West Yorkshire force spokesman said: “We’d like to think that the actions of the officers may have prevented a serious accident due to the condition of the car.”
Police seized the car as a result of the offences If you have any information on any vehicles being used with no insurance, or no driving licence in a poor state of repair then please contact West Yorkshire police anonymously on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
