A DEDICATED Bradford City fan hopes for an extra 90th birthday present this weekend with a victory in the club's FA Cup quarter-final clash.
Betty Squires, of Wrose, celebrates her 90th birthday today but hopes her beloved Bantams can book another trip to Wembley in the semi-final by beating Championship side Reading on Saturday.
The great grandmother has been following the fortunes of the claret and amber side for more than 60 years.
She says she still goes to all of City's home games and will take her seat for the side's clash, which is set to be played in front of the biggest Valley Parade crowd since 1960.
She has three daughters, seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and says Bradford City is her life and in her blood.
Mrs Squires, who was born in Bolton Woods, said: "I'm hoping for a win.
"I want to go to Wembley again.
"Football is just my life. It's in my blood after I have been going for so many years. I could not do without my football.
"I just love it. I look forward to it. I go to every home game.
"I'm looking forward to the game on Saturday.
"It would make my birthday if we could win.
"The highlight has been watching them getting on and progressing. There have been a few ups and downs though.
"I'm enjoying it at the moment. We have a good team and Phil Parkinson is one of the best managers we have ever had.
"The good thing is that we have had all of these cup runs.
"I used to go with my brothers. I used to watch Tom Flockett in the 50s and 60s. I now go to the games with one of my daughters and my son-in-law.
"I've seen so much history of Bradford City."
Meanwhile, fellow die-hard fan Mary Thornton, 85, is also predicting a City win on Saturday and looking forward to another great tie.
She has shot to fame during the club's FA Cup run this year after being pictured celebrating wildly in the front row of the stand in the 4-2 fourth round win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Football Association (FA) tracked her down and took the FA Cup to her home in Eccleshill last month.
Mrs Thornton, who will be at Saturday's clash, said: "I think we will edge it by one goal.
"Winning the cup is possible.
"This is going to be the trickiest of the last three cup games after Chelsea and Sunderland.
"I'm not nervous yet but I will be when I get there. I'm looking forward to it.
"The atmosphere is going to be magic."
