DETAILS of plans to transform the former Haworth fire station into a community centre are set to be revealed next week.
Residents leading the campaign will hold a public meeting at Haworth Primary School, March 12 at 7.30pm. Campaigners will update villagers on a meeting with West Yorkshire Fire Service bosses, who last week expressed support for the project.
Campaigner Steve Thorpe said: “Both parties are keen to make it happen and have the station reopen as a community venture. We’re drawing up a plan. We need to move fast.”
