MORE than 50 homes could be built on a village’s former station yard.
Outline permission is sought for up to 53 houses in New School Lane, Cullingworth.
Three residents have so far objected online to the plans from Wild Acres Ltd.
They fear that with 200 houses being built at another village site, Manywells, roads would be unable to cope with the extra traffic.
Opponents also claim that schoolsare oversubscribed and that the new houses would have an overbearing effect on some properties.
Cullingworth Village Council will debate the scheme in public at its planning meeting at the Methodist Church, The Dell, at 7pm on March 16. It is also worried about the loss of trees.
The developers have said they will improve local roads and take on board public comments.
