BRADFORD Libraries will host more than 20 class visits from schools across the district tomorrow for World Book Day.
Pupils will have the opportunity to find out more about their local library and choose books to read from hundreds of children’s titles by their favourite authors. There will also be quizzes, crafts and stories.
A number of after-school events will also be held. The Hungry Caterpillar takes over Wibsey Library, where children can enjoy making a caterpillar finger-puppet and felt bookmark. The event starts at 3.45pm.
Both Idle Library and Clayton Library have events running from 3.30pm until 4.30pm.
At Silsden Library, between 3pm to 4pm, children can enter a design-a-bookmark competition. Haworth Road Library will have a World Book Day storytime and crafts from 3pm to 4pm.
Thornton Library is celebrating on Friday, March 6, at their children's craft club from 3.30pm to 4.30pm while Wyke Library will have further celebrations that day with their Tiger Who Came to Tea storytime at 10am.
