A POST office in Bradford will reopen after refurbishment this week and offer longer working hours.
Buttershaw Post Office in Halifax Road will reopen for business on Thursday at 1pm and will be open for an extra five hours on Saturday afternoons.
It has also been fitted out with two secure fortress positions.
Post Office area manager Julie Kemp said: “We know how important Post Office services are to residents in Bradford and we are confident that this vibrant modern Post Office at the heart of the community will be popular.
“The modernisation is part of a major Government investment programme that is enabling us to map out a bold growth strategy through to the end of the decade.”
Until it reopens the nearest alternative post offices are in Fair Road, Wibsey, and Cooper Lane, Buttershaw.
