WEST Yorkshire Police have joined forces with a Land Rover dealer in an attempt to reduce the number of occasions the vehicles are targeted by criminals.
As the Telegraph & Argus reported at the start of last month, gangs of car-parts thieves have been targeting Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles across Bradford district.
Police have urged owners of Land Rovers and Range Rovers to be vigilant and have now teamed up with Copley Land Rover to hold a free crime-prevention Land Rover Marking Event.
They are appealing for anyone who owns a pre-2013 Land Rover Defender, Discovery 4 or Range Rover Sport to attend.
Police said owners were invited to the event between 10am and 1pm tomorrow at Appleyard Road, Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge HX7 5PE.
