A MAN is to face trial on a charge of stalking a woman.
Stuart Watkins, 50, pleaded not guilty to stalking involving serious alarm or distress, when he appeared at Bradford Crown Court yesterday. The offence was alleged to have taken place between December 1, 2013, and July 8, 2014.
Watkins is alleged to have contacted the woman on three occasions, by email, Facebook and text.
His barrister, Stephen Wood, said there was no dispute about the three communications, but the defence questioned whether it amounted to stalking. A trial date was set for June 29. Watkins was granted bail on condition he does not contact the complainant.
