A GAMBLER who knocked out a man’s teeth in an altercation at a blackjack table at Napoleon’s Casino in Bradford has been ordered to pay him £2,500 compensation.
Juga Singh punched Robert Anderson to the head, breaking his nose and cutting his lip, Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday.
Singh, a convicted fraudster, of Cranmer Road, Bolton, Bradford, pleaded guilty to causing Mr Anderson actual bodily harm on October 19.
Prosecutor Alisha Kaye said Mr Anderson advised Singh not to gamble away his winning chips.
Singh’s previous convictions included conspiracy to defraud and money laundering, when he received five years in jail.
His barrister, Allan Armbrister, said he was hoping to start a new company.
The Recorder of Bradford, Judge Roger Thomas QC, sentenced him to six months jail, suspended for two years, with a probation order activity requirement and the compensation order.
