A MARRIED man, aged 58, has been jailed for 12 months after he was lured to a park thinking he was meeting a 14-year-old girl for sex.
Trevor Arnold, of Foxcroft Close, Queensbury, pleaded guilty to attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming in June, 2013, and possession of 18 indecent images of children.
Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday that he got into internet chat with a man posing as Little Laura to unearth paedophiles.
When he went to meet the girl in Shibden Park, Halifax, he was confronted by a man with a camcorder. The footage was sent to police and Arnold was arrested and sacked from his job as a sales rep.
Defending, Tom Rushbrooke said he was a man of previous good character.
The Recorder of Bradford, Judge Roger Thomas QC, said the immediate jail sentence was a deterrent.
