A TEENAGE driver accused of causing the death of a Bradford man and injuring two others in a two-vehicle crash is likely to plead not guilty to the offences, a court heard.
Zachary Willemse appeared briefly in the dock at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The 19-year-old, of Gibb Lane, Halifax, is facing three charges: causing the death of Kallum McCarter by dangerous driving; and causing serious injury to Natasha Hoy and to Matloob Hussain by dangerous driving.
He is likely to plead not guilty to all charges when he appears before Bradford Crown Court on February 10, District Judge Susan Bouch was told.
The charges relate to a crash on Priestley Hill, Queensbury, on Easter Monday last year.
Mr McCarter and Miss Hoy were passengers in a Mini Cooper driven by the accused. Mr McCarter, 20, of Raven Terrace, Fairweather Green, died at Leeds General Infirmary almost five weeks after the crash.
