PLAYERS in a junior football team will be rolling back the years and playing a match together on Saturday in memory of a former teammate.
After more than 15 years, members of Bolton Woods’ Under-15s team from 1999 will be playing against a side representing Oddfellows Arms, Harrogate Road.
Mark Duce, one of the Bolton Woods players from the 1999 match, who died aged 17 in 2000, will be remembered on the day with a minute’s silence.
Mark’s sister Emma will also play in the match.
Woods player Adam Trice’s father Graham, who died of throat cancer in April last year, aged 60, will also be remembered. All funds raised will go to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The match is at Bolton Woods Football Club, Bradford. An online website has already raised more than £650.
