THE former Barclays Bank in Silsden could be turned into a cafe bar and grill.
A planning application has been submitted to Bradford Council for the building at 23 Kirkgate.
The Barclays branch closed in 2011 despite objections from town councillors. Cllr Adrian Naylor said he would like to see the boarded-up building be brought back into use after four years but said he was concerned.
He said: “I’m not keen on Silsden being known as a place for takeaway, cafes and grills. It needs a variety of shops and offerings on the high street.”
