A 26-YEAR-OLD man caught with a cannabis farm at his home has been spared an immediate jail sentence.
Scott Park pleaded guilty to production of the Class B drug at his home in Bertie Street, Cutler Heights, Bradford, on August 23 last year.
Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday that he was drying out 18 cannabis plants in a bedroom when the police called round, acting on a tip-off.
The yield would have a street value of up to £6,600.
Imran Khan, Park’s barrister, said he had been a heavy cannabis user and maintained the drug was for his own use.
He had now cut back on the habit and had a new job to start.
Park was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment, suspended for two years, with a probation service activity requirement.
