A DATE has been fixed for the first public meeting of the new Friends of Haworth and Worth Fire Valley Station group.
The organisation has been set up to try and revive the building – which was closed at the end of last year.
Chairman and Haworth resident Steve Thorpe said the meeting to which the public are invited is at the Old White Lion, in Main Street, at 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 11.
“I’d urge as many people as possible to come along,” he said.
“We’re going to be applying for grants but we also want to raise money ourselves.
“In order to get funds we’re doing a 2016 calendar featuring old and new pictures of Haworth.
“I’m appealing for people with pictures of Haworth to submit them, and I’d like to hear from businesses prepared to offer sponsorship.”
