A BRADFORD pub that has suffered “considerable vandalism” since it was closed in 2012 could soon be converted into homes.
Crag Developments, based in Eccleshill, has applied to convert the grade II listed Prince of Wales pub in Bowling Old Lane, West Bowling.
The boarded-up pub is opposite the entrance to St Stephen’s CE Primary School.
The proposed development will consist of four two-bed houses and two three-bed houses. The existing pub would become four homes with two new homes built in the car park. Shut since 2012, the building dates back to the early 19th century. The houses have been earmarked as starter units.
The application states: “The building has suffered from considerable vandalism since it shut, so it is now considerably at risk.”
Bradford Council will decide on the application in late March.
