BANTAMS mania has spread to the city’s primary schools following the club’s FA Cup heroics.
Pupils at both Thackley Primary School and Clayton Village Primary School were invited to return to school after the weekend wearing their Bradford City kits, and both schools were awash with claret and amber.
After Saturday’s giant-killing 4-2 victory against Chelsea, Kate Bainbridge, an avid City fan and member of staff at Thackley Primary, got in touch with parents through Twitter and texts to let them know children could show their support by wearing their kits to school.
Almost 50 children arrived at school yesterday proudly wearing their City kits.
Clayton Village Primary School also sent texts out to parents to let them know children could wear their kits to school to commemorate the team’s historic victory.
