A GROUP that helps mums cope with the demands of motherhood has celebrated its second anniversary.
The mums and tots group at Pudsey Health Centre offers support and advice for mums so they can ensure their baby enjoys the best start to life as well as giving them an opportunity to socialise with other mums.
The baby group has been running successfully for two years and its founder Sophie Webster said: “The group has developed over the two years with it becoming more of a social group for mums.
“Now the group is no longer exclusively attended by first-time mums as women who have had additional children still come along. They share their experiences with each other and offer emotional support where it is needed.
“A lot of the mums that visit their GPs don’t necessarily need to as they only want reassurance for their baby which the group can provide. We also have grandmothers coming to the group with their grandchild when the mums return to work.”
New mums and mums-to-be are being encouraged to attend the baby group, which takes place every Tuesday from 1pm to 4pm.
