ILKLEY Summer Festival is to get £4,000 from Ilkley Parish Council this year.
Festival managing director Anne Hawkesworth said she was delighted with the grant as organisers face funding cut.
She said: “This money will be specifically earmarked to support the funding of the infrastructure on the big event on August 15. From the the 40s to the 00s, it covers VE celebration with In the Mood Miller band and Andrews Sisters in the afternoon, and the evening, dancing with Dominic Halpin.”
“A big thank you is due to the Parish Council as It is a great relief to have received this money.”
Meanwhile, the festival organisers are waiting to hear if Bradford Council will contribute to the festival.
The team is also seeking funding from the Arts Council for a three-day Ilkley Jazz Festival.
