THE axe still hangs over the district’s residential homes for the elderly, a scrutiny meeting heard.
But Bradford Council has not decided which of its homes will close.
The Council’s health and social care overview and scrutiny committee was told last night about measures being put forward as part of the authority’s budget proposals.
This includes a plan, already agreed, to close another of the Council’s residential homes.
Janice Simpson, strategic director of adult services, said they hadn’t yet decided which home would close.
The meeting also heard that the Council is getting to grips with an expected overspend of £2.5 million on adult social care.
