OTLEY’S MP has called for the Chilcot inquiry into the UK’s role in the 2003 invasion of Iraq to be published immediately, after news it will be delayed again.
Greg Mulholland, Liberal Democrat MP for Leeds North West, found it “frustrating” to still be waiting for results of the inquiry, set up in 2009.
“My constituents, service personnel, their families, and the whole country have waited long enough,” he said. “It is time that the Chilcot inquiry is published and the truth about the Iraq war is told.” He felt there was a danger of delay until after the general election.
