THE MAN found dead in a field near the River Aire in Silsden has been named today as David Robert Vickers.
Bradford coroner’s office said the body was believed to be that of Keighley man Mr Vickers, due to identification found at the scene.
Mr Vickers, 42, lived at Bracken Road, Ingrow. A formal identification will be carried out tomorrow, when a post mortem is due to open. No cause of death has been given.
Police officers and paramedics were called to the land, near Bridge Farm off Keighley Road, at 6.50am on Wednesday. The area was cordoned off while officers investigated.
Soon after the discovery, Detective Chief Inspector Steve Snow, of the Homicide and Major Enquiries Team, said there were not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
