ONE of the organisers of Haworth 1940s Weekend has issued a renewed appeal for financial support.

Main Street trader Nikki Carroll, pictured, who is also a parish councillor, made the plea for assistance at Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Council.

Speaking at the meeting on Monday, she said: “We were looking at getting sponsorship, but that has not worked out.”

Cllr Peter Hill said it was only right that more of a contribution should be made by those people in the village who benefit most from the influx of visitors.
