THE Bradford branch of Leeds Building Society has helped raise £400 for Asthma UK by selling Bagpuss TV character bookmarks.
Kay Boycott, chief executive of Asthma UK, said: “This kind donation will help us to fund research to continue to find life-changing new treatments and ultimately a cure for the one in 11 people with asthma in the UK. Someone is having an asthma attack every 10 seconds in the UK and sadly three people still die every single day, despite research highlighting that two of these deaths could have been prevented.”
To help raise funds for the charity, please visit asthma.org.uk or call its helpline on 0800 121 62 44.
