A CHARITY which is helping thousands of Bradford school pupils called in the Bishop of Bradford for a discussion on the future of its work.
The Schools Linking Network invited the Rt Revd Dr Toby Howarth to host an event at the Bradford University School of Management, which was also attended by Trevor Pears from The Pears Foundation which works towards improving social justice and promoting individual responsibility.
Yesterday’s event was part of the charity’s work towards developing a new strategy, which is aimed at building on its previous successes.
SLN describes itself as “small” but it has achieved big results, with virtually all primary and secondary head teachers who have been involved with its work.
Rachel Kidd, principal of Dixons Allerton Academy, said: “The SLN team have helped us plan a series of lessons and programmes over two years which helped to strengthen dialogue, student voice, community participation and human rights in the day-to-day life of the academy.”
