POLICE seized a quad bike being used illegally on the road in Bradford while the rider attempted to show off to friends.
Officers in plain clothes approached on foot in Haycliffe Road, Great Horton, on Sunday evening following reports of nuisance riding.
Several people were present. They found a rider on the quad. They were able to stop him and seize the machine, which was noisy, not road-going and had been ridden near residents’ homes.
None of the group were wearing safety gear, with the group all issued with section 59 warnings which mean they could have vehicles seized immediately if caught riding again in an anti-social manner.
Two involved live nearby, with another visiting from outside the area.
Tracks left in the snow showed the quad had been ridden around houses, annoying residents.
