BRADFORD romantics wanting to come up smelling of roses are being invited to try their luck at winning a Valentine's Day competition.
David Ducey, who runs The Flower Room florists in Institute Road, Eccleshill, is turning Cupid on social media to help make it a very special day for one person in particular.
He wants partners to nominate their 'other half' via his shop's Facebook to win an ultimate Valentine's package of a specially delivered giant balloon bouquet, chocolates and teddy worth £150.
Last year's winners of a year's supply of flowers were Holly and Craig Scullion who were chosen as the city's most romantic couple out of more than 100 entries.
The couple, who have been married for six years, first dated when they were 14 then at 16 then third time lucky at 18 for keeps.
"We still laugh and giggle with each other, cuddle on the sofa and he even holds my hand when we cross the road," Mrs Scullion wrote in her winning entry.
This year, Mr Ducey is seeking Bradford's most deserving partner - male or female. Anyone wanting to impress their loved one has until Wednesday, February 11 to make a nomination at facebook.com/pages/Flower-Room/174128785984248
