A BRADFORD housing association is challenging its staff to take part in a 30,000-mile journey in aid of charity.
Horton Housing, which has staff in Keighley, has come up with the event as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations.
Staff can run, cycle, swim, row or walk as many miles as possible, and Horton hopes the total travelled by its 325 staff will reach the 30,000 mile total.
For every mile travelled by each person, Horton Housing will donate 10p to a charity of their choice.
Horton Housing is a charitable organisation which provides a range of housing support services across West and North Yorkshire.
Paul Gartland, chief executive officer, said the association was continuing to expand its services. in the 30 years since the registration the association had expanded its services and was still continuing to grow.
He said: “We will be celebrating our anniversary year in a number of ways but this first challenge is an opportunity for staff not only to boost their own health and wellbeing, but also to raise money for a good cause.”
