THE 50-YEAR history of Sikh temples in Bradford will be given in a free talk.
Dr Ramindar Singh (pictured) will speak at Bradford Local Studies Library on Wednesday from 2.15pm.
The district’s first Sikh temple was established by a small number of Sikhs in a former carpet warehouse in Garnett Street in 1965.
The building was demolished but there are seven other gurdwaras in the Bradford district.
Dr Singh said: “The lecture will look at how the Sikh community has grown and changed in Bradford over the last 50 years.”
The library is located in the old Central Library building, Margaret Macmillan Tower, Prince’s Way.
