TWO men, aged 28 and 24, have been released on police bail after they were arrested in connection with three armed robberies in Bradford and Leeds carried out within two hours of each other.
Three masked men carrying knives, and another in possession of what appeared to be a sawn-off shotgun, burst into a house in Rockland Crescent, Clayton, at about 5.45pm last Monday and demanded to know where one of the occupants were.
The men searched the property, before taking a woman’s Michael Kors watch and running off towards Woodvale Avenue. At about 7pm, a man entered a house in Wooler Avenue, Beeston, Leeds, and made demands for gold jewellery from one of the occupants.
The man, believed to have a gun, was followed by four other men, who were carrying weapons. They are believed to have taken a quantity of jewellery.
At about 7.45pm, three or four men carrying weapons entered a house in Broad Lane, Laisterdyke, and ordered the occupants to sit down. The men took a quantity of cash with them.
The suspects are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. All wore black balaclavas and black gloves.
They are thought to have used a black Mitsubishi pick-up to travel between the robberies.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Bradford district CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
