THOUSANDS of hardy Bradford City fans braved the wintry weather to grab tickets for the club’s plum FA Cup tie.
Some Bantams’ fans queued overnight at Valley Parade to get their hands on tickets for the FA Cup fourth round clash against Chelsea on Saturday.
The League One side thrashed Millwall 4-0 to set up the tie against the Premier League giants and sold out the allocation of 6,000 tickets in a matter of hours on Saturday.
Kevin Stallard, 54, of Thackley, and his son Matt, 30, queued for six-and-a-half hours for tickets to the Stamford Bridge clash.
Matt said: “I don’t think we have a hope of winning.
“I’ve never been to Chelsea before. It will be good to see that sort of class of player.
“It’s good for the club to get that sort of money into it.”
Angela Gordon, who volunteered at the club to help run the queues, said: “There were people here from before midnight queuing up and even in their sleeping bags.
“The atmosphere has been quite pleasant in the queue. There were a lot of people outside.”
