POLICE have released an e-fit of a man suspected of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in his car.
The teenager was walking along Halifax Road in Keighley when a car pulled in front of her and stopped. The driver asked if she would like a lift and, believing the vehicle was a taxi, the girl got in.
She asked to be dropped off at The Great Northern pub a short distance away, but the driver carried on and stopped at a grassed banking, opposite Damems Road. He grabbed at the girl over her clothing but she managed to get out of the vehicle and ran back towards the pub.
The vehicle drove away towards Cross Roads.
The suspect is described as Asian, believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, about 5ft 11in tall and of medium build.
He was clean shaven and had very short hair, possibly almost bald.
Detective Inspector Ian Bryar, of Bradford District CID, said: "We would urge anyone who recognises this man from the image or his description to contact Bradford District CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
