Silvermantle’s plan for a 2,709sq m store with car park and petrol station in Keighley Road, is due to be discussed by Bradford Council.
The company hoped Bradford planners would discuss its application this month, but the matter has been put back to a date to be announced.
Councillor Adrian Naylor (Ind, Craven) said he understood Bradford Council did not want to decide the application until it had spoken to other developers to gain a full picture of all projects planned in the immediate Keighley Road area.
Silvermantle submitted its planning application for the the site of the former Becks Mill site last year with the intention that Tesco would build the supermarket.
Tesco recently pulled out of the project, but Silvermantle hopes to re-market the site to other major supermarket chains in the future. Planning permission, if approved, will last three years.
