AN HISTORIC pub has been restored to its original state with lottery cash.
The Red Pig pub in Keigh-ley is among buildings in Church Street recently refurbished through the Townscape Heritage Initiative.
Builder Paul Whitehead removed white render that had covered the front wall revealing the original 18th-century stonework from when the pub was known as The Fountain.
Bob Brown, who has run the Red Pig for the past 30 years, said: “There was a lot of work, but it’s paid dividends.
“It’s a lovely job and it’s making a difference to the street.”
