A CONCERT staged in Keighley for the town mayor’s appeal was music to the ears of the Salvation Army.
The event, at the civic centre in North Street, raised £1,524. Now town mayor Graham Mitchell has presented a cheque to Keighley Salvation Army, the chosen cause for his civic year.
He said the Welcome to Brass concert, featuring Haworth Band, had been a great success.
“About 70 people attended and some who couldn’t make it also made donations,” said Councillor Mitchell. “I will continue to work with the Salvation Army to raise money and awareness.”
