A BANNED driver who tried to avoid police inadvertently turned into a dead-end road in Bradford, officers said.
A car had been spotted in Great Horton with a driver known to be disqualified and when officers were called in to search for it, they found the vehicle in Farnham Road, with three people inside.
Police believe the driver turned onto Stratford Road to evade officers, but the road was a dead end.
The driver then gave false details but was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified.
Checks also revealed the car was on false number plates and had been used to steal fuel from petrol stations throughout West Yorkshire.
The other two occupants were also arrested and one was found to be in possession of a controlled drug.
The car was seized and will now be crushed.
