CANADIAN alt-folk favourites Fish & Bird (pictured) are bringing their first UK tour to Otley Courthouse Arts Centre.
Raised on equal parts roots music and Radiohead, Fish & Bird have received praise both sides of the Atlantic for their refreshingly uncliched songwriting. With last year’s release of their fourth album, Something in the Ether, the young Canadian band continued to re-imagine folk music for a new generation.
Songwriter Taylor Ashton and fiddler Adam Iredale-Gray formed the band in 2007, based on a shared passion for traditional old-time music. The duo became a five-piece, to growing critical acclaim.
Fish & Bird will play at Otley Courthouse on Wednesday at 8pm.
Tickets are available by calling 01943 467466 or by visiting otleycourthouse.org.uk.
